Ingredients
-
1 whole Rose flower tea
4 teaspoons Agar Powder
3 teaspoons Sugar
2 cups Water
2 tablespoons Rose Simple Syrup or Maple Syrup (optional for serving)
*Special Equipment: Round tray or mold
Directions
In a small bowl, combine 4 tsp agar and 3 tsp sugar.
Pour 2 cups of water into a small pan.
Add in the agar and sugar mixture & stir.
Cook over high heat until the water is boiling, stirring consistently to allow the agar and sugar to dissolve.
Once dissolved, reduce the heat to low & cook for 2 more minutes.
Move the pan to an ice bath & chill for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
While cooling, steep 1 whole Rose flower in 190-200ºF water for 3 minutes.
Gently pick up the Rose with a bamboo tong and place it at the bottom of your round mold/round tray.
Pour your agar-sugar mixture over the Rose.
Place Rose Jelly in the freezer to chill for at least 15 minutes.
