Basil seeds have been used traditionally in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. There are many health benefits associated with using basil seeds in one’s diet. Basil seeds are nutrient rich and have the natural ability to improve digestion. When soaked in water and combined with chrysanthemum, the seeds become gelatinous, which make for a refreshing drink.
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon of sweet basil seed
½ tablespoon of honey
- Bring 1 cup of water to a boil
- Add chrysanthemum packet and basil seeds to a mug and wait for the basil seeds to expand which should take 2-3 minutes.
- Wait for tea to cool before adding honey and stirring.
